Our Youth Organizing Committee was hand selected by School District 2 and filled with our communities best and brightest minds. These students believe in sharing ideas and in the fact that we are all unique. 

Will wallace

Logistics & Opening Remarks

Will Wallace serves as the Assistant Logistics Coordinator for the inaugural TEDxBillingsYouth. A Senior at Billings West High School, Will is passionate about serving his peers as Student Body President and through service clubs like Key Club. When he isn’t running with his cross-country teammates, he’s likely 3D printing, plane spotting, flying (and crashing) drones, or helping at his church. Will is excited to help the TEDx team pull off a fantastic first event before he begins his next chapter as a cadet at West Point this fall.

Maggie Krug is the Assistant Producer for TEDxBillingsYouth and is a senior at Billings West High School. She participates in multiple activities around West High, including Meistersingers Choir, Co-President of GSA, and founding member of the Tri-M Music Honors Society. The 17 year old has worked in multiple projects in Billings, including shows at Billings Studio Theatre and volunteering at the Lincoln Center, but this is her first TEDx Youth event! Maggie will be studying musical theatre at the University of Montana in the fall.

Cameron Goodwin

Social Media

Cameron Goodwin is a motivated high school student who is passionate about learning, leadership, and creating positive change in his community. As one of the marketing helps for TEDxBillingsYouth, he is excited to help bring together young voices, bold ideas, and meaningful conversations.

He enjoys exploring topics like technology, innovation, and personal growth, and believes that sharing ideas can inspire people to take action. Outside of volunteering, Cameron spends his time in STEM clubs, robotics, and working for his family’s business.

Serenity Cobb is a Freshman at Skyview High School, she is enrolled in multiple honors classes and enjoys Skyview’s after-school clubs. She plays both the violin and piano, though she is enrolled in the Chamber Orchestra at Skyview.

Serenity is the Assistant Event Manager and one of two Fact Checkers for the TEDx Billings Youth Committee. She spends her summers working at the Oasis and volunteering for Park to Park as a mentor.

Candy Li

Marketing & volunteer coordinator

Candy Li is a marketer and volunteer assistant coordinator for TEDxBillings Youth. She attends West High School, where she is a member of Key Club, Environmental Science Club, and a national qualifier for Business Professionals of America. Candy has also been playing piano for nine years, receiving local and state recognition for her achievements. She is passionate about various forms of art and design, and is excited to apply her creative vision and collaborative skills in helping plan for the TEDxBillings Youth event.

Micah Toews is a fact checker and photographer for TEDxBillingsYouth. He is a freshman at West High and is part of the Concert Choir. He once lived in Melton, Australia for a school year with his family. He enjoys learning new things. In his freetime, he reads and sometimes writes. Micah Toews is excited to help the TEDxBillingsYouth committee plan and enhance this event.

Allison Martin

Co-Emcee

Allison Martin is a junior in high school who’s grown up with soccer as a core part of her life. The sport has shaped how she works, competes, and stays motivated — from learning teamwork to pushing herself through tough practices and long seasons. Choir has been another big part of her middle and high school years, giving her a creative outlet alongside athletics. Balancing practices, rehearsals, and a full course load keeps her academics a priority. She’s also a proud member of National Honor Society and Tri‑M Music Honor Society. No matter where she is — on the field, on stage, or studying — she’s always chasing improvement, good memories, and the next challenge. She is the emcee for the TEDxBillingsYouth Event.

Emree Brensdal is an Emcee for TEDxBillingsYouth. She attends Skyview High School, where she is a member of We Love Club, Tri-M Music Honors Society, and National Honors Society. Emree also is very active in multiple choirs in church and school. She is also a scout in Boy Scouts of America and plays tennis in the spring. She is passionate about school, family, and well-rounded activities. Emree is excited to apply her ecstatic energy and leadership skills in helping plan for the TEDxBillingsYouth event.

Meet Esra Nergiz, a 16-year-old student at West High and Early College who refuses to be put in a box. Esra is a true “Renaissance woman,” blending a love for the arts, athletics, and advocacy. You might find her on the stage with the Drama Club, serving her community with Key Club and TRIO, or competing as a frequent finalist in the Optimist International Oratorical contest.

Esra’s energy is boundless—she’s an avid athlete who plays basketball, volleyball, flag football, tennis, and softball, and even finds time to hit the slopes for skiing. Off the field, she expresses her creativity through the violin and piano, while her sharp mind keeps her busy as a photographer and professional fact-checker. Esra is passionate about truth, performance, and pushing herself to new heights.

Marleigh is a dedicated and driven individual known for her strong work ethic and commitment to making an impact. While she may not define herself by traditional school accomplishments, she brings passion, reliability, and creativity to everything she does.
She plays an active role in TEDxBillingsYouth, where she contributes as an Assistant Volunteer Coordinator while also supporting marketing and social media efforts. In these roles, Marleigh helps organize teams, promote events, and ensure a positive and engaging experience for both volunteers and attendees.
With a natural ability to take initiative and collaborate with others, Marleigh continues to grow her skills in leadership, communication, and digital outreach. She is motivated by opportunities to learn, contribute, and be part of something meaningful.
